Kangaroo Love

Sunday, April 6, 2014

Callie was careless
Thought she could care less
Her stomach was turning
And her heart yearning
To see Carl again

Signs posted everywhere
It was more than she could bear
His image burned into her heart
She yearned from the start...

Still fresh in mind
Was the one left behind
The one for whom she yearned
So to his sign she returned...

Have you been to Grandma's lately? She share a delightful challenge called succinctly yours. She offers a photo and we get to create a story using her image and the provided bonus word. This week's bonus word is "yearn" and the photo is pictured above. Just to make it a little more fun out of it you are to use just 140 characters/words or less. How LOW can you go?

I Love em, Judy! This one just begged for a sorrowful love twist. We got to see, feed, and pet some 'roos last January (2013). Aussie and N Zee, 2012-2013

It was a fun trip, you've seen some of these.

G'day Judy! Yes this picture prompted lots of similarity this week. As I mentioned to Jim, I had written a piece along very similar lines before the other two came through - so the first got deleted. THE WIDE BROWN LAND is certainly a place of spirit and it seems we have all felt it &*> I loved these three as they essentially form one story flow. YAM xx
(PS - if you tangle with a big red then yes, there is potential risk to life; but all 'roos can inflict quite nasty injuries if you get them riled. Mostly though they're only interested in grazing and lazing.)

Great job, Judy. I like all of the them. Love kangaroos too.

Most wonderful trio! The yearnings for him never abated. They have had strong feelings! Nicely Judy!
