The Flying Dinner Challenge

Sunday, November 3, 2013

Her owner fed her a steady diet of cilantro but she'd die without meat. Would the birds notice her if she sat real still? 98/122

~ OR ~

After a cilantro entre she quietly waited for dessert - bird pie. 54/66

Her perch granted her the perfect vantage point as she watched the chickens tending the cilantro garden. 88/105

Oh pretty kitty
Sitting up high
Fancying birds
Who fly in the sky

Such a long time
Since she dined on meat
A cilantro dinner
Was not quite a treat!

This post linked to succinctly yoursGrandma offers a wonderful word challenge. She offers a picture and we are given the opportunity to create a short short story of 140 characters/words or less. This work the bonus word was cilantro.

What can you do with the challenge this week? Don't leave this poor kitty unrecognized!

I enjoyed all four entrees of your foursome, Judy. What a cute and clever poem, which even included the wotw! Kudos to you!

I've noticed deer on our property who stand perfectly still, like statues, thinking that I don't see them. Then I make a sudden move and off they run.

These are soooo good, Judy. I like your poem. A cat in waiting is a natural for you!!!

Each of them is pretty good.

Now how on earth did that kitty get up there? :)

Pat, animals like to play possum and not everyone notices them when they do.

Colette, cats are super climbers and jumpers. I am amazed at the places my cat climbs too.
