Train depot

Train depot

Train depot

These pictures were taken last fall on my smart phone. I found the texture of the photos interesting  once uploaded. They look like paintings not photographs.

It was one of those rare beautifully sunny days when I was out and about with no one along and no particular mission in mind so I could pause guilt free to take pictures, but as luck had it my camera was fresh out of batteries. This train depot has been here for many many years and I stopped to imagine some of the wonderful connections made here...soldiers back home, children returning from college...families visiting other family members...

This post linking with Shadow Shot Sunday. I hope yours is a very blessed week. Take care and stay healthy!!

There's something about shadows because you make your own mind up about what's lurking in them.

Because not many people travel by train anymore, train depots have become a relic of the past. But even relics cast wonder-filled shadows!

Yes, train stations are important places. Hearts get broken as people go away forever - the last place they see their loved ones. Train stations also provide a place where people return and where we have some of our happiest memories of loved ones coming back to us.
