Blue Morning Glories

Blue morning glories
Spilled their glorious stories
Then went back to sleep

Rising with the sun
Vibrant faces full of glory
Close up tight at night

Shhh quietly they speak
Secrets that day will not keep
But night keeps so well

This post linked to Carpe Diem. Here you will find daily haiku challenges. Here you will find inspiration and beauty.

These are wonderful.
I especially like the third.

Nice triplet of haiku ... my favorite is the first.

'Quick go to sleep
tomorrow I will show you something'.

I really like the image/idea of spilled stories--sort of like secrets that just can't be kept!

each one is wonderful but as a set they are even better. Congrats!

Once they close, aren't they done for--as in dead?

Judy SheldonWalker February 10, 2013 at 3:11 PM

Mark, morning glories are just that "morning" glories. They bloom in the morning and close up at night. They are not dead but live to bloom again another day.
