A Friend gets the Boot over Boots

You dirty little…xerophyte! Why are you so angry? You knew I had my eye on these boots! It’s not like you were going to buy them anyway! 110 without spaces /137 with

Grandma's Goulash provides the picture and the micro-fiction challenge called succinctly yours. She even provides a bonus word if you want to make it just a little more challenging. We are to write a short shortystory containing 140 characters or words or less.  How low can you go? Which girl do you think will get the last word? (The empty one or the one who is "full" of it?)

The bonus word is xerophyte. BTW I asked ask.com for a definition because even spell checker got lost on that one. lol
"An eremophyte is a plant that grows in desert conditions. The term is derived from a Greek word, eremos, meaning 'solitary' or 'empty'. It is also known as a xerophyte or a psammophyte."

Thank you for your visit. I hope you had a fantastic week end. Take care. Stay healthy and God bless!

They must be best friends forever...or sisters.... to talk to each other like that! :D That's an interesting use of "xerophyte" as am epithet...Lol!

I really like this. What a good job you've done.

I hope things get better. Bad news is something that can bring me to my knees which is where I should be before I hear it. :) Praying for you.

I liked this, Judy.

Great minds: we both had a cat fight with one of them getting called a "zerophyte."

Nice one. It would be quite an insulting word, wouldn't it?

Thanks for the definition. I would not have known that one. For a moment I thought you were describing something you'd seen in the street :-)

I was thinking along the same lines as Pat, they must be sisters to have that kind of a fight. Good one use of the bonus word Judy.

You really made xerophyte sound like a bad word. I could almost hear that conversation. Well done!
