A Need to Pause

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

When it seems I am plagued by the world
And all the problems upon me hurled
I grab my purse, my camera and off I go
To look for God's picture show
What is special? What claims my eye?
Is it flowers, the water, birds or sky?
Often times we just need to pause
Not pursue each hopeless cause
But focus on God's artistry
To escape from life's drudgery

Nature by God
poem by Judy

One of my favorite past times is shopping in the thrift stores. Imagine my surprise when right across the street from one of the thrift stores is this delightful pond. This is the same pond I surprised a crane in twice and some ducks on another visit and after I fill my eyes with visions, I can fill my tote with groceries at Polly's and go home and make dinner with a new perspective. :-)

This post linked to Watery Wednesday. Thanks for the visit! Let's all get our feet wet, or at least our eyes at Watery Wednesday! Enjoy and God bless.

I like your pics. God is great, isn't he?

What a fabulous photo the first one is--such a lovely reflection. Glad you could renew and refresh your spirit. Sometimes we just need to "get away" and enjoy the glorious surroundings. Take care. Mickie :)

Water is always soothing to me. Beautiful shots Judy, I really like the ripple effect in your second photo. Your poem is as beautiful as your photos.

I am the same way Judy! When I had enough, taking pictures of God's creation seemed to calm me down with new perspective.

Beautiful photos, and your poem is so sweet!

Some of the best you've ever taken, Judy. I'm glad your blog is fine now. It must have been terrible for you.

Your poetry always sets you apart from the usual because of the wonder in your words. Thank you for the lovely God pictures too, my dear sister in Christ.
