Is your Work Blossoming?

Friday, September 30, 2011

Whether you are a job applicant, a writer, an artist, or an entrepreneur your work is not done until you have sold the product whether it is you or your art. For example, ask any writer. We work very hard. We select the perfect pictures; do research to be certain our article is credible, and then wrack our brain for the attention grabbing title that will make our article the one that gets read. Then we select the publisher to submit it to. We want to garner the most reads and make the most money for our work. You would think that the work is done, but it is far from done.

Competition is fierce.

Face it the internet is flooded with content. One can write the most compelling content and it can get buried beneath the heap. For one’s content to be read and truly get noticed, one must market themselves or their work. Marketing requires signing up for numerous bookmarking sites, placing your links out there, returning to the site frequently and reading other’s content and leaving comments on their material. We call it networking, but “networking” is just another word for hard work. An artist’s true talent is not allowed to blossom to its full extent as they are working so hard behind the scenes that they must spread themselves thin; perhaps too thin. What writer doesn’t wish they had someone to do the marketing end of the business for them? This is where an Advertising Agency comes in handy. Click on the link to request their free portfolio and find out what they can do for you.

Pretty rose. There are so many talented people out there. I thing some of us will have to write, paint, take pics, etc. and be happy with just being creative whether anyone ever buys our work or even looks at it. Blogging is a great outlet and certainly people's comments boost our egos. Have a great weekend. Mickie ;)

So true, Judy! We need traffic to whatever we are creating online, or in real life. Without traffic, we might just as well write in our own diary!

That is so true. Competition is fierce in everything. It's good to be challenged though so our light can come forward.

I love thinking of going outside the box, and finding new people.

Pretty flower too.

You have the truth so well said here, my sister!

With so much creativity and talent out there you have to work very hard to market yourself. Perhaps stretching too thin is the problem, maybe a little tighter focus would help.
