Internet makes moving easier

The Internet makes life so much easier than it used to be. I was really able to see this when we moved into our new house last week. For starters, I scheduled moving help without even having to pick up the phone. We didn’t need a big truck and a whole crew since we were just moving across town; we just needed a few extra hands to load and unload the big pieces. I was also able to set up an appointment for our cable to be installed on directStarTV.com. There was nothing convenient about waiting on someone to come out and do that, but at least the initial process was quick and easy. Also, instead of having to pick up and mail in a change of address form, I could just go the United Postal Service’s website and do it with the click of a button. Now, I still had to contact each and every one of my billers/financial institutions, but at least I would still receive my mail while I took my time getting that done.

Oh, I remember the joys of doing those things last year (NOT!)

Changing all the bills, banks, schools, etc is a pain. NO matter how well you plan, 6 months down the line you realise you've forgotten something.

Best wishes for your new home.

That is so true. Moving is so much easier these days with all the internet offers!

Everything is so much easier with the internet. I used it to help in our last move and it made a big difference.
