Thankful Thursday - Neonatal Care

Wednesday, August 31, 2011

Baby Faith was born on the 16th. She weighed just 2 lbs. 1 oz. She is a little fighter even though she lost weight and went down to 1 lb. 7 ozs. She now needs open heart surgery. Had she been born when I was, her chances would be greatly diminished. Medical science has come so far. Can you imagine surgery for such a tiny infant?  I pray for her recovery and God's wisdom and hand in (my grandchild) this little one's life.

1. Do you remember a time when medical science with God's help :-) created a miracle? I can. I have other premie grandchildren who were miracles.

2. Have you had any adverse reactions to certain medicines? I am very allergic to Ultram. It causes me to experience difficulty in breathing. My father and sons are allergic to penicillin and break out in hives. Some allergies for some individuals can be life threatening. For others life preserving.

Hey, the party is on at Amanda's. Join in the conversation at Amanda's  Thursday two questions. There is much to talk about. Thanks for visiting me today. Take care and God bless!

BTW - The wall plaque was a gift for Mari from Jeannie for Chris and Mari's new place. I thought it was appropriate as the baby's name is Faith.

Goodness knows, G is a Great Letter!

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

Goodness, "G" really? For ten years I was married to a man whose last name began with G. We had three little "G"s, two girls and one guy. They are doing great. The oldest "G" has given me ten grands and three greats, the second one three grands, the third one 5 grands and another is going to be born Sept.  16th.

We have done much to give the letter G a hand in growing and I am grateful for each grand and great grand.  Our group keeps growing and giving Grandma lots to give God thanks for. Got to get going.

Thanks for your visit. Please join us for ABC Wednesday. Take care and God bless!

Laugh it off!

Monday, August 29, 2011

Thanks, Mari, for taking me to the lake tonight to clear my head. I can always find peace at the lake, especially during a sunset. When I came back home I found a poem that I wrote out in calligraphy which was posted in Modern Methods.  The Bible verse "The joy of the Lord is your strength." - Nehemiah 8:10 was given as the inspiration behind the poetry.

Laugh it off

Are you worsted in a fight?
Are you cheated of your right?
Laugh it off!

Don't make tragedies of trifles.
Don't shoot butterflies with rifles!
Laugh it off!

Does your work get into kinks?
Are you near all sorts of brinks?

If it's sanity your after,
There's no recipe like laughter.
Laugh it off!

Thanks so much for your visit. God is good, and I hope you take a moment to dwell in His goodness! You will come away refreshed. I promise! :-) Take care and God bless!

Reflections in a Feeder

Sunday, August 21, 2011

Jeannie and I were transferring her photos from her card to her jump drive when I fell in love with this one. Check out the moth and the reflection.  She insisted I post it on my blog, so I insisted I imbed her name in the photo. :-)  For more reflections visit Weekend Reflection.

Thank you for your visiting. Take care and God bless.

Captured by the Moon

Thursday, August 18, 2011

Who captured who?

I am forever sky watching, even when it is very dark outside. I stopped at the store the other night after work and it was light when I went in, full of soft fluffy looking clouds in a blue sky, but by the time Mari and I was leaving the sky had turned another complexion. BB met us and took Mari away from me, so I consoled myself with capturing pictures of the moon which had captured my attention first.
If you are crazy about sky shots, like I am check out more photos at Skywatch Friday. Thank you for visiting. Take care and God bless.

Sky Blue Pink

Thursday, August 11, 2011

Who says skies are only painted blue?
I didn't.
Did you?

Who says clouds are only colored white?
If I did
I wouldn't be right.

God's paintbox is steadily overflowing
With glorious colors
He's forever showing.
Nature by God

Thanks so much for visiting me today. Have a blessed week end and don't forget to visit Skywatch Friday. God has lots of beauty to bestow.

Windy Day at the Beach

Tuesday, August 9, 2011

This post connected to Watery Wednesday. It was hot out and I slipped my crocks off and waded through the water. It felt so refreshing and with the wind! Ahhh.... Thanks for the visit! Take care and God bless!

What are you waiting for?

Sunday, August 7, 2011

If you follow my blogs you know that my future daughter in law just moved to Michigan from New York and is pursuing her bachelor's degree. The internet makes it possible for her to complete her studies without changing schools. She only has five credits to go and is closing in on her degree quickly even though she started in New York and now lives in Michigan!

We are living in a new age.

We no longer have to wrestle our schedule with our employees and our jobs so we can attend both. We can attend school at virtually any hour we can get to a computer. Perhaps that is why they call the studies "virtual" studies.

Former President Bill Clinton gave the address.

Imagine the excitement of these Walden University graduates as they sat in the audience and were honored by the presence of former President Bill Clinton as he gave the 46th  commencement address just last month. You can do more than imagine, you can visit the site and listen to his rousing and motivating speech. Perhaps that is all you will need to decide to do something good for yourself and either enroll or re-enroll. Maybe it is something you have had in the back of your mind for awhile.

They have relaxed repayment of student loans.

I was encouraged when I heard him mention that with new laws enacted by the federal government, graduates now have up to 20 years to repay and can make smaller payments in ratio to what they are earning.

Choose your schedule, choose your major and choose the level of degree!

They can chose from hundreds of careers at different levels, some without degrees and others with. Courses are individually programmed for each student's needs and will help with enhancing the career one is already working in or enable them to pursue other career options. The virtual adviser will help you to ascertain whether Walden is right for you.

At one can complete their desired studies, achieve the level desired and do so in the privacy of their home. They can remain at home with their family while they participate in their studies and work the hours they chose. There are courses which will enable them to pursue degrees in education, health, management, nursing, psychology, public policy and administration, counseling and social service. You are certainly worth a few minutes to explore your options.

Thanks so much for your visit today. Take care and God bless!

Congrats Chan Lee Peng!

Tuesday, August 2, 2011

Icy, BC, Chan, Anne, and Lizzie were already hard at work at Triond when I got there in 2007. Their content was well known. It was a classy site and we had all caught the writing bug made better by the fact that we all were constantly on the hot content. But soon Triond became innundated with crass poorly written content and worse yet porn. We begged them to clean up.

They finally are but in the meantime Chan has created a writing site. It pays with chikita and is full of some awesome tools to help us create our content easily and without fear of being copied. Try it. Go to E Infopages and try to copy. I did and could not. We are taking stringent steps to only have quality content and already have 723 categories. With around two weeks of publishing that is pretty cool, correct?

This cool collection of "C"s has been compiled for ABC Wednesday. Please join the fun and thank you for visiting me. Take care and God bless!
