Cat Attack

Monday, May 16, 2011

It is the night before Mother's day and I am multi tasking, as usual. Talking to my friend on my cell; researching and writing an article; cooking dinner; and I hear a commotion on the coffee table...

I bought a new vase, nice and shiny black to place this single tulip in for baby girl on Mother's day. She is expecting (again), by the way, and her hubby is making us dinner. It would make a nice but simple centerpiece.

Oh, the mighty paw has struck again. With one swipe the pretty tulip hangs by a thread. Tiger is sizing up his opponent and getting ready to take another swipe, when I reach in and grab him. Naughty kitty! Too bad I had not looked up sooner! Couldn't he ignore it for just one night?

I tuck it into the water, switch it from the water bottle to the nice shiny new black vase but it is not so impressive now. The best laid plans of man and mouse are often upset by a cat. :-)

This post linked to Ruby Tuesday (coincidentally the name of my daughter who was gypped out of her tulip) and camera critters. Thanks so much for visiting me today. I hope your Mother's day was as wonderful as mine. :-) Take care, stay healthy, and God bless!!

Oh no, and it was so pretty. Nothing is safe from kitty paws when kitty wants to see.

So typical of the determined, brings down the house whenever it suits he or she.

It was just too tempting for your cat to pass up--he's got to have a little fun too. Love your reflection shot--how did you do that??? Very cool. Mickie :)

Oh those might critters can leave their mark, can't they! The tulip is still beautiful though, unlike mine, were shred apart..
