The Generosity of Friends

Friendship…It finds it’s start
By beginning within the heart
A tiny seed gets sown
A little kindness shown…

It’s watered with our tears
It matures over years
It watches children grow
And guards us from our foes

It protects one another
Sticks closer than a brother
It understands and follows
And gives all life allows

Exchanging smiles for tears
And memories for years
I’m so glad to know you, friend
On that you can depend.

by Judy Sheldon-Walker

My friend, Karla, her son and her nephew are posted here. She shared with me that they had gone to the Cascades Water falls. As a child, my Sunday school class used to make a day out of taking our teen class, and I loved it, so my ears perked up when she spoke of it. It often has live entertainment, and the waterfalls are spectacular when on display.

They have several tiers of fountains with colored lights reflecting through them and the result is just spectacular, but what I thought was even nicer was her offer. She told me she would post her pictures on FaceBook and I should help myself. She encouraged me to add them to my blog, so here they are.

Thanks, Karla!
